We are honored to invite you to the 3rd Congress of the Polish Orthoplastic Society “Orthoplastic surgery”, which will take place on May 9-10, 2025, at Gniew Castle.
Once again, we will meet to discuss challenges related to the treatment of complex injuries and share our experiences in reconstructive techniques. This time, we will focus on lower leg orthoplastic surgery, surgical treatment of pressure ulcers, and secondary reconstructive procedures in the upper limb. As always, a joint session addressing topics at the intersection of surgery and anesthesiology, free topics, and a discussion on our “most difficult cases” will be included. Due to the participation of international guests, we kindly ask speakers to prepare slide texts in English whenever possible.
We hope that our meetings will allow us to improve patient care and expand our horizons in the field of reconstructive surgery.
We invite all those interested in reconstructive surgery to actively participate in our Congress!
Participation Fees:
- POS members actively participating (presenting their papers/abstracts at the Congress) – 0 PLN
- POS members not presenting their papers/abstracts – 300 PLN
- Non POS members, accompanying persons (participating in shared dinners and lunches) – 600 PLN
- Company representatives (if not covered by separate agreements) – 600 PLN
In case of cancellation after payment, a full refund will only be granted if cancellation is reported by April 8, 2025.
Participation fees do not include accommodation.

Renowned authority in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Emeritus Professor at the Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca. Former Secretary General of the European Federation of Societies for Microsurgery. A member of multiple international scientific surgical societies. The author of numerous scientific papers and a lecturer at prestigious scientific events and conferences.
Dr Lucia Petru Jiga
Head of the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at the University Evangelical Hospital in Oldenburg. A lecturer, distinguished European surgeon, and reconstructive microsurgeon. Scientific director and creator of the reconstructive microsurgery training program Oldenburg – Groningen Flap Course.
Dr Tomas Kempny
Renowned specialist in plastic surgery from Ostrava, a recognized surgeon and reconstructive microsurgeon. President of EUROMicro 2026 Prague.
